Open Studios & Galleries Spring Bank Holiday 25-27 May 2013

the art shop 2This year we are taking part in the Crickhowell Open Studios & Galleries event over the May bank holiday weekend. Come and join us on Saturday from 9.15am-5pm, Sunday 11am-3pm and Monday 10am-4pm…

Hopefully the sun will shine and we will be outside with our bunting, musicians, home-made cake and elderflower cordial. Come inside and see our current exhibition Everything Familiar Up Close.

On Sunday, listen to jigs and reels played live by Hairpin Bend. Fiddles, mandolin, guitar, whistle, flute, mandola and harmonicas create beautiful, evocative Irish traditional music.

    Good afternoon,

I heard about your gallery from a friend who is from Abergavenny. I live in London and will miss your open studios this month. I will be travelling through the town sometime in the August and hope to enjoy a visit to the shop. I wondered if it might be possible to organise a visit to the artist studios. I particularly like the work of Dawson Stuart Trapnall. Could you tell me if he has his own website where I could see some more images.

Wishing you an enjoyable weekend event.

    Many thanks and kind regards,

    • Thank you for your message. The Open studio & Gallery event is just for this Bank Holiday weekend, but you are very welcome to come anytime and see Dawson’s work, as we have a collection of his paintings in our art store, and of course come and see our summer exhibition. You can see examples on our website, see link below.

As far as we know he doesn’t have a website.

Hope to see you soon, thanks again.
