We are celebrating the Abergavenny Food festival this year with a CERAMIC MAKERS’ MARKET upstairs at the Chapel Sat 16th-Sun 17th September…

An abundance of functional, decorative, handmade ceramics for all occasions. Everything is for sale, come and meet some of the best contemporary makers working today – Louise Brosnan, James Burnett Stuart, James & Tilla Waters, Dylan Bowen, Jane Bowen, Dan hides, Tim Lake and Chloe Charrington.

Also on show, a Theatre of Plates by artist, Cornelia O’Donovan MA RCA whose solo exhibition ‘Dream Paintings’ will be on at The Art Shop (just 2 mins away).

Downstairs in the Chapel Kitchen and garden hear live music, sample delicious breakfasts, lunches and all-day food for the meat eater to the gluten and dairy free, biodynamic wines, craft ales and small batch roasted coffees and NOW from our Chapel larder you can buy our jars of pickles, kimchi, vinegars, jams and marmalades.

Currently on display at The Art Shop in our annual summer show ‘Artist in the Garden’ is work by photographer, Britt Willoughby Dyer.

Britt began her career as a Travel PR photographer and grew naturally towards lifestyle, garden and floral photography. Present clients include Gardens Illustated, House and Garden (her images of the Nant y Bedd Gardens can be seen in the current issue with article written by garden designer, Sarah Price), Soho House, Homes and Antiques and Rakes Progress, to name a few. Britt worked for many years for well known garden designer, Arne Maynard and a selection of her images can be seen in the publication ‘The Gardens of Arne Maynard’ published in 2015 by Merrell.

Britt has a unique eye for detail and composition and showing here for the first time are her photographs of the Iris Clematis and Iris Tom Tit from the National Collection of Arthur Bliss Irises.
