We are closed over the Christmas holiday for our annual break and will re-open on

Tuesday 5th January 2016

We would like to wish all our customers a Joyful Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Thank you for all your support over the last year at The Art Shop and the Chapel.

When we return we will be preparing for an exhibition upstairs at the Chapel from the children’s performance ‘A Winter Wildness’ that took place on 22nd December – life sized trees, leaves, costumes, design worksheets and a video …and amongst these trees will be our next musical event – Bragod – ‘In Praise of Mid-Winter’, on Friday 22nd January ‘with bold, ritual songs, ballads and medieval poetry and a magical Arthurian episode celebrating the holly and the ivy.’

So much to look forward to, we will keep you in touch

Artist, Sarah Rhys, gave a short talk about this ancient Celtic custom, and showed a small selection of drawings and prints, alongside paintings by the inimitable William Brown. Traditional Welsh songs were sung and the procession made its way into town and through the Market Hall.
